Megan Hattie Stahl was born & raised in Oregon, now living in Brooklyn, NY.
Her films have screened at the North Portland Unknown Film Festival, the Olympia Film Festival, at the Festival International du Documentaire Émergent in Paris, and at the Festival Courts Mais Trash in Brussels.
In 2018 she completed a month-long documentary residency in Casaprota, Italy with the SabinARTi Cultural Association, producing the musical short Cantaprota.
In 2019 she took part in BRIC’s Documentary Intensive in Brooklyn, during which she produced Very Rare, an intimate short about her partner’s struggle with fluoroquinolone toxicity.
She’s all about documentary as an essential means to preserving and understanding our world, home videos, found footage, eccentric characters, collaborating with musicians, French, Italian, bilingualism, piano, journaling, running as meditation, early childhood education, obsessive recycling, personal finance, public transportation, oral history, and processing the chaos of life through video-making.
